Hello! I am Lyndsay Zappone, your 2023/2024 PTO President! I have enjoyed volunteering for the school in many ways over the last two years. but this is the first time taking on a leadership role. I am so excited for the challenge and opportunities to serve the students, families, and staff here. I have a Masters in Counseling, but currently stay home with my two children, Liam (8th grade at Mesa Academy) and Lila (3rd grade at Zaharis Elementary). I grew up in Mesa Public Schools and love to give back to the district who has given me and my kids so much! In my spare time I love yoga, cooking, photography, graphic design, and crafts of any kind. I am also on the Mesa Parent Council and am a volunteer forest ranger for the National Parks Department, hoping to hike the Grand Canyon rim to rim this year! If you see me at an event, come say hello! I love hearing new ideas and feedback for ways to improve the Mesa Academy experience. Go knights!
Hi! My name is Chris Pantier and I am the PTO Vice President and Fundraising chair. I am blessed to be married to my amazing wife Christina for 22 years now. I have 2 amazing girls. Ashley who is living freshmen dorm life in her first year of college at ASU. Alexis is also in her first year, 4th grade here at the Mesa Academy. The greatest achievements of my life have all revolved around kids- being a father, being a teacher, and being able to help this amazing school. When you don’t see me here at the school, I can be found deep in a video project working for my company Big AMP Productions (named after the girls). Or you might hear me hosting The Doug Hopkins Flippin’ Real Estate Radio Show Saturday’s at 12noon on 92.3 KTAR. I'm so happy to be able to serve on the board this year and look forward to seeing all we can do together!
My name is Emily Norton and I have an 8th grader and a 7th grader at MAAS. Both my kids started with the school in 4th grade. My 8th grade son started at the Academy before the pandemic hit, so while we have been at The Academy for a while, this is the first completely normal year we have experienced and we are appreciating seeing all of the clubs and activities back and fully functioning. I have helped with PTO since that 2019-20 school year, and I appreciate how it has helped me meet more parents, teachers, and given me a much greater opportunity to participate in the community. MAAS is full of great people, and the PTO helps me meet and serve more of those people--which is great for this introvert! I am a native of Montana, and I love the mountains, but don't miss the cold. I work full time as a teacher for ASU Preparatory Academy, but in my spare time, I love being with my fam ily, cooking, doing word puzzles, and reading.
Hello! My name is Brooke Wilson and I am your 2023/2024 PTO secretary. This is my first year on the PTO at Mesa Academy. I love being a part of the PTO and having the ability to be involved with the different events the PTO offers. I am currently an instructional assistant in a Kindergarten classroom at Zaharis Elementary. I have three children. My oldest is 13 and in 8th grade at Mesa Academy. My middle child is 10 and in 5th grade. He is hoping to attend Mesa Academy next year in 6th grade. My youngest is 7 and in the 2nd grade. My oldest has loved Mesa Academy and all the opportunities it has provided him, and my youngest two are hoping to attend Mesa Academy in the future. I am a Wisconsin native and am happy I switched the snow for the sun when I moved to Arizona. In my spare time I like to bake, sing, hike, craft, play board games with my family and love everything Disney. If you see me at an event please say hello!
Bio coming soon!
¡Hola! I am Veronica Sandoval, a Spanish Teacher at Mesa Academy and PTO Teacher Liaison. I have taught for over 25 years with a total of 7 years at The Academy. Some of my favorite things to do include date nights with my husband of 22 years, watching shows with my daughter, and cooking with my son. Both of my children aspire to be teachers. My daughter is currently a sophomore at GCU and my son is a sophomore at Red Mtn High School. My son was a student at Mesa Academy from 4th-8th grade. My husband, daughter and I are all Texas natives but Arizona is where we hang our hearts. We love to travel around the country and host our family and friends at our home as much as possible. I enjoy brainstorming and working at events with the PTO. I believe that it takes a village to raise our students and a great way to be part of the village is to work hand-in-hand with our parents and teachers. I graduated from Red Mtn. High School and have enjoyed working in different areas of the district. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about Mesa Academy or Mesa Public Schools.
